Chanel Preston: Age, Bio, Height, Family & Net Worth (2026)

Chanel Preston, whose real name is reported to be Rachel Ann Taylor, is an American adult film actress, producer, podcast host and performer-rights advocate. She was born on December 1, 1985, in Fairbanks, Alaska. Today she is 40 years old. Over more than a decade in the industry she has won major awards, been featured in outlets such as Cosmopolitan and CNBC, and helped lead a group that speaks up for performers.

This guide covers her biography, age, height, education, family, career, boyfriend and relationship status, and net worth. Many websites repeat old or conflicting numbers, so this article also explains where the facts come from and which claims you should treat with caution.

Chanel Preston Quick Facts

Who Is Chanel Preston?

Chanel Preston is one of the better-known names of her generation in adult entertainment. She is known for more than her on-screen work. She has also built a public profile as a writer, host and spokesperson for performer safety and fair treatment.

She began her career in 2010 and quickly won industry attention. In March 2012 she was named Penthouse magazine’s Pet of the Month. Later, she served as president of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) and launched a crowdfunded sex education web series called Naked with Chanel.

People search for her for many reasons: her age, her height, her real name, her family, her relationships and her net worth. The sections below answer each of these in plain language.

Chanel Preston Age and Birthday

Chanel Preston was born on December 1, 1985. As of October 2026, she is 40 years old, and she turns 41 on December 1, 2026. Her birthday falls under the Sagittarius zodiac sign.

Some older websites still list her age as 33 or 34. Those pages were written years ago and never updated. Her date of birth is consistent across major databases, so the calculation is simple: subtract 1985 from the current year, then check whether her birthday has passed.

Early Life and Childhood in Alaska

Chanel Preston grew up in Alaska. According to her official biography on IMDb, she loved performing from a young age. She recited Shakespeare in community theater and played piano, including difficult pieces by the Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. She said she fed off the energy of a crowd.

The same biography describes a childhood motto of “try anything once,” and says she grew up with the idea of gender equality. It also says she spent time on gym mats training and grappling with boys, which taught her early lessons about fairness. These details come from her own promotional biography, so they show how she chooses to present her early life.

She is reported to be of English, German and Spanish descent. Her birthplace, Fairbanks, is a city in the interior of Alaska known for long winters and the northern lights.

Chanel Preston’s Education

Many readers ask about her education, and this is a section most competing pages barely cover. Here is what is publicly reported:

• Homeschooling: She received her early education at home rather than at a traditional school.
• Hawaii: At around age 19 she moved to Hawaii, where she lived for about six years. Reports say she continued her studies there.
• Degree details: No reliable source confirms a specific college, major or degree. Websites that name a university are usually guessing.

If you read a page that lists a school or graduation year, check for a source. Without one, treat it as unconfirmed.

Chanel Preston’s Family: Parents and Siblings

Chanel Preston keeps her family life private. Here is what is known:

• Parents: Some biography sites say her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, which follows from her reported real name. Their first names and jobs have not been shared publicly.
• Siblings: There is no confirmed information about brothers or sisters. Pages that say “unknown” are being honest.
• Religion: One biography site says she practices Christianity. Because this is not from a first-hand interview, treat it with care.
• Children: She is reported to have no children.

She has spoken about her Alaska upbringing, but she does not publicly name relatives. This is a sensible boundary, and this article respects it. Pages that publish names or details of private family members without proof should not be trusted.

Chanel Preston Height and Appearance

Chanel Preston’s height is listed at about 1.73 meters, or 5 feet 8 inches. Some older pages say her height is “unknown,” but newer biographies use the 1.73 m figure. Her weight and body measurements are not confirmed by any reliable source, and she has not published them in a verified profile, so this article does not repeat the guesses you may see elsewhere.

Chanel Preston’s Career

How She Entered the Industry (2010)

Before entering adult entertainment, Chanel Preston reportedly worked as a stripper for more than a year. In January 2010 she met producer Nick Manning, and she filmed her debut scene for Vivid Entertainment’s Brand New Faces series.

Her confidence and screen presence helped her stand out early. In her first year she worked with well-known studios, including Wicked Pictures, Hustler Video and Vivid. Over time she also worked with Brazzers and Digital Playground, which placed her among the most in-demand performers of the early 2010s.

Awards and Recognition

Preston’s first year brought a wave of “Best New Starlet” honors. Biographies credit her with new-performer awards from XBIZ, XRCO and NightMoves, three of the most recognized award bodies in the industry.

In 2012 she was named Penthouse Pet of the Month for March. CNBC also included her several times in its annual “Dirty Dozen” list of the most popular stars in the business, a ranking that looked at online popularity and reach.

In 2014 she co-hosted the 31st AVN Awards, one of the industry’s biggest annual events. Being picked as a host is often seen as a sign of respect from peers.

Advocacy: The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee

One of the most important parts of her story is her advocacy work. Chanel Preston served as president of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee, often shortened to APAC. The group works on issues such as performer health, safety, consent and fair working conditions.

This work helped her reputation beyond the screen. Many competing biographies mention APAC in a single line. In fact it is one of the main reasons journalists and industry leaders have treated her as a serious voice, not only as a performer.

Naked with Chanel and Her Podcast

In 2014 she launched Naked with Chanel, a crowdfunded web series about sex education. Fans helped fund it, and the show looked at how society thinks about sexuality, consent and communication. Reviewers praised it as informative and open-minded.

She also hosts a sex-positive podcast, where she talks about relationships, wellness and life in the industry. This work shows her interest in education and open conversation, and it gives her a creative outlet outside of film.

Writing, Hosting and Mainstream Appearances

Preston has also built a media career outside of her films:

• Writing: She blogged for XCritic.com and was reported to be the first guest blogger for AdultDVDEmpire.com.
• Hosting: She hosted Inside Adult on the X3Sixty Network.
• Music videos: She appeared in videos for artists including Russ Irwin (“Get Me Home”) and Waka Flocka Flame (“Bust”).
• Television: She appeared as an extra on the TV series Sons of Anarchy.
• Press: She was featured in Cosmopolitan and has been covered by business and entertainment outlets.

These crossover projects help explain why she remains well known, even among people who do not follow adult entertainment.

Career Timeline

Chanel Preston Boyfriend and Relationship Status

People often search for “Chanel Preston boyfriend” or “Chanel Preston husband.” The honest answer is that she keeps her love life mostly private.

• Current status: Most biographies describe her as single. She has reportedly never been married and has no children.
• Past relationships: Biographies mention that she acknowledged a past relationship with fellow performer James Deen in 2015, and that she was linked to performer Juelz Ventura around 2010. These details come from secondary sources, and she has not given extensive public interviews about them.
• Why this may change: Relationship status can change at any time. Always check her verified social media accounts for the latest news rather than relying on old gossip pages.

Pages that claim a new husband or engagement without a source are usually clickbait. A good rule is to wait for a statement from Preston herself or a reputable outlet.

Chanel Preston Net Worth in 2026

Net worth is the most inconsistent part of her story, so here is a clear explanation.

Reported estimates vary a lot:

• One popular biography site estimates $1 million to $5 million.
• Another page estimates $5 million to $8 million for 2026.
• A few low-quality pages claim $10 million or more, or even absurd numbers like $91 million. These claims have no evidence behind them and should be ignored.

A realistic summary is that her net worth is in the low-to-mid single-digit millions. Nobody outside her accounting team can confirm an exact figure, and she has not published her finances.

Where her income likely comes from:

• Film and studio work over more than a decade
• Subscription and fan platforms
• Producing and directing, which often pay more than performing alone
• Podcast and media work
• Brand deals, sponsorships and affiliate marketing
• Appearances and hosting

A note on accuracy: celebrity net worth numbers are estimates built from public clues. Treat them as rough guides, and remember that figures marked “verified” on some sites are not actually verified.
